PAGB Inter Federation Print Exhibition – Big Pit – October 21st to November 17th 2013

The WPF is once again arranging for the Annual PAGB Inter Federation Print Exhibition to be exhibited in our area – as we have done for many years, it is part of our intention to expose our Members to the best of British Photography whenever we can. It does rely on us being able to acquire a suitable venue and support from local Camera Clubs. This year we have arranged for the Exhibition to be hosted at the Big Pit on the dates shown above, you will have seen in a recent Newsflash details of the 34 prints we have selected as the WPF entry in this year’s event.

However as well as the appeal for help to erect the stands and hang the Exhibition on October 18th/19th and dismantle on November 18th the Big Pit management have advised that: – “We should not leave the Exhibition unattended but that we should arrange to steward whenever the Exhibition is open; that covers the period Monday October 21st to Sunday 17th November. This is because they have found over the last couple of years that vandalism and general misbehaviour has increased substantially”

To this end we are hoping to find volunteers from the WPF Clubs to provide us with 2 people on duty at any one time, to allow for breaks, so I am asking – well in advance – for anyone who can spare half or a full day to contact me as below so that we can see if we can put together a ROTA to cover the requirements – i.e. 25 days in total.”
