On Monday 14th January we had the first external Competition of the year at Trostre CC. We were the defending winners from last year so our expectations were high.
There were 8 clubs competing, Amman Valley, Abertawe, Carmarthen, Pembrey, Tenby, Towy Valley, Trostre and ourselves.
5 Prints from each club and the Judge was Rob Mitchell, after the first 3 rounds we were even with Tenby on 52pts, so it was all down to the last two prints we scored 17 and 20pts and Tenby scored 18 and 20pts. So we lost by just 1pt to our old rivals Tenby.
Over the last 4 years I think we have shared the trophy with Tenby only breaking their run last year.
So well done to our entrants, especially Clive for his 20pts
‘Firestarter’ by Graham Harries 17pts
‘Her place is in the Home’ by Joyce Mollet 19pts
‘Cheeky Beggar’ by Tony Collis 16pts
‘Me Myself and I’ by Jennifer Williams 17pts
‘Holy Island‘ by Clive Martin 20pts
